ABOUT ME

In brief: I am quiet one minute and talkative the next. I can have the sense of humor of a 12 year old, but I'm also at home at lectures on international law or economics. I would say that I am an ambitious person, but my personality is more like a candle than a fire cracker. My search is for balance. I want to do good (typical idealist), yet I have no interest in getting caught up in the rat race.

PHILOSOPHY

I often reflect on myself as a very small part of an infinite universe, yet I believe that a meaningful piece of that universe exists within me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in the rolling hills of the beautiful Northern Italian coast - just outside of Genova. I couldn't have had a more pleasant and meaningful adventure.

Interests

My interests are always changing and growing. I spent 2009/10 living in Prague, studying Czech, and traveling around Europe. Before living in Prague I was studying International Studies in Omaha, NE, working at a French restaurant and on campus. Now I'm in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota, getting my public policy on. Aside from school and study, I spend quite a bit of time reading, following my interests in Eastern philosophy and practices, doing a little yoga, and getting into the great outdoors whenever I can (probably not often enough).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love film of all kinds. As for music, I am lucky to have a girlfriend that is a music historian. She handles the play list. I will name a couple of favs though: caribou, akron/family, and elliot smith. And let's not forget radio: this american life, radiolab

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
