HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like having people come crash on our couches - always fun to meet new friends, hear some stories, share some experiences, and help travellers save a buck or two.

Interesses

Sports - hockey, soccer, surfing, snowboarding, rock climbing/bouldering, beach volleyball, running... I pretty much like anything competitive or that gets the blood flowing.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Surfing in Hawaii - jumped off my board and landed on a sea urchin. Needle into my foot made my leg start to numb instantly. Plucked all the needles out of my foot, and later realised my big toe had turned blue. Stayed a bright royal blue for about a week.
Snorkelling with dolphins was cool too. And having guns drawn us at the Canada/US border was interesting.

Scared of weighing your suitcase at the airport terminal? Worried you'll have to dump clothes or other things into other bags or mail them home?

Travel with a small empty bag in your suitcase. If you weigh over the permitted amount, dump into the extra bag and take it as your second carry-on. Now, you're under the amount, no fine, and you've got another bag to bring souvenirs back in.
