ABOUT ME

I`m French/Swiss. I was born in France and then moved to Switzerland and today both countries are part of my identity. Never could I choose between one of them. I`m easy going, love a good laugh as well as a serious discussion, farming, nature, travel, work, religion, life, philosophy... I think there are no boring subjects with the right people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I created a couchsurfing account years ago and then moved onto a sailing boat and sailed south east Asia for a couple of years before moving to a community in New Zealand... in short I never used it. Now after two years living a sedentary life my feet have started to itch again...

During my travels I always look for the local hangouts, restaurants, secret spots, short cuts... what better way to immerse yourself into the local culture than to live in it.
I love to cook , discover new food and flavors and share recipes. There's so much good (and weird) food out there. Food is definitely a big part of why I travel. But food alone is somewhat tasteless. For me it's always an experience that has to be shared. Nothing more fun than a nice dinner at home with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm lucky that I got to do a few amazing things in my life already. I've sailed on three oceans, driven 5000 k's through the heart of Australia, hiked across the Himalayas (almost made it to the Tibetan boarder), Snowboarded on glaciers in Switzerland went diving in the reefs of Western Papua. My last amazing experience has been to single handle a Catamaran from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore this summer (or winter if you call the southern hemisphere home). Amongst all these things what was really amazing were all the people I got to do it with. I could never have done it alone and it was so much fun to share it all. I can't wait for the next adventure.
