My name is Lori and I live in LA working for Southern California Edison, a large utility, as head of the Residential New Construction Energy Efficiency Program. I'm so excited to guide our developers and builders toward Zero Net Energy building standards. We have a ZNE home under construction which will be completed by October 2016.
I am a world traveler since 15 years old. I traveled with teens to 6 European countries through a program called Reconciliation Today. I've led groups to disaster response/missions/service trips to Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia. I won't stop doing that stuff until I go to heaven...really.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've couch surfed informally in the US, Paris, London, other places. I find people are generally gracious and I enjoy hospitality myself. I'm well traveled and can spot an idiot pretty quickly so I'm not worried about that. It is a lot of fun to meet new people. When I travel, I prefer Bed & Breakfast - for years - so this is similar, not so formal.
