To look at and beyond each thing.
At first sight, I am quite reserved and shy but I only need a spark of humour or a common interest to get lively and enthusiastic. I love considering life while being on heights (mountain or hill tops, cathedral towers...). I love the sound of rustling water, the smell of a warm summer breeze, the buzzing of a big city and the silence when its snowing. But all this is nothing if I can't share it. I want to travel and discover other cultures, other ways of thinking, because they make us wiser, but I hate to be a tourist, which creates an unsolvable though interesting paradox.
I love nature, music, books and films. I love eating and sleeping and running and swimming. A ray of light, a musical phrase, a fragrance and so much more of these very little things can touch and uplift me. Our rushed, full and efficient society is something I do not want to go along with. I care for my freedom.
Never stop to try improving. We are never done when we want to be better persons.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I moved abroad for my studies and I don't have my own place, so I cannot for now host anyone. But I would be happy to meet up!
Very little experience yet. I surfed once in Chile. It was a nice experience.
I love to be outside, to listen to music, to play the cello, to read and write, to take photographs. I love to observe whatever is happening around me. I like wandering around, in cities or remote areas. Contemplating while thinking about the complexity of life would be my biggest hobby.
Music, Movies, and Books
So many good books, wonderful artists, great composers... I don't know where to begin.
I listen to all types of music as long as I can feel some harmony in it or, if it's lacking it, some strong rythme or drive.
These are some of my favourite authors I took with me when I moved to the Netherlands: Yves Bonnefoy, Nicolas Bouvier, C.F. Ramuz, Fernando Pessoa, Hermann Hesse, Rabindranath Tagore, Milan Kundera, Romain Rolland, Tonino Benacquista, Sylvain Tesson. But I also enjoy Sci-Fi and fantasy very much (Pierre Bordage, Robin Hobb, Raymond E. Feist, Orson Scott Card, ...)
I hate violence in films and I am not into horror films. For the rest, I am open to pretty much everything. Wes Anderson, Richard Linklater, Emir Kusturica, Marco Tullio Giordana and so many more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived in the mongolian steppe with a nomad family.
