To find an elementary teaching position at an international school a teach abroad for a few years.

ABOUT ME

I am in the middle of my life (truly--age 45), and am enjoying every minute of it. I'm a third grade teacher who really loves working with kids. My husband and I live in a rural town near Crater Lake, in southern Oregon. We have a small sheep ranch. I have 2 daughters, age 21, and 23 who are doing amazing things with their lives. I am positive & enthusiastic, have an identical twin sister, and love to travel. I take dance classes for exercise.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing. This past year we have had several folks stay with us through the Help X network. They trade helping on our sheep ranch for room and board. Many of them also participate in CS, so I thought I'd use the CS network while I travel to job fairs.

Interests

I love to dance, sing and play guitar, read (mostly fiction), and go on outdoor adventures like cross-country skiing, river rafting, and rock climbing (just top-roping). I also like photography, environmental education, and leading cooperative games. We raise chickens and sheep.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love romantic comedies, folk music, and Shakespeare. Other favorite authors include Ivan Doig, Kate DiCamillo, Anne McCaffrey, Jean Auel, JK Rowling, and Roald Dahl.
