HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I guess i participate by participating ;)
i remember visiting a friend in glasgow 2008 who was just being hosted there by a couchsufer.
Instantly created an account back then because I found the idea quite good but never got to use it though. This is the second attempt now, and now it seems like I'm finally about to get sucked in ;)
beer, good food, music, football, snooker, more beer, discussions on politics, life, language, history and whatever pops up, getting to know locals wherever im going, waking up the first morning in a city i have never been before and just going out exploring, trainrides, hiking... oh, and did i mention i like beer? ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on the Mount of Olives and having a view over the old city of Jerusalem and some of the most sacred places of the three big religions from the same spot.
While I'm not a religious person I visited the city on two occasions. The clash of religions and cultures can be felt there everywhere.
I found it scary there, but very impressing and intense at the same time. I could never life there, but it was an amazing experience.
Apart of that? Hmmm, yeah, some Skydiving and Hanggliding in New Zealand, I guess that was intense enough for the comfortzone-seeking lazyass I tend to be too much :D
