ABOUT ME

I work, hang out with my friends a lot, work some more, and then travel. My goal for the past couple of years has been to NOT spend 12 consecutive months on US soil. I start to get antsy if I don't get out of the country and experience a different culture at least once a year. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love where I live and the people I'm surrounded by and I don't really see myself ever living somewhere else (at least not long-term).

Humor defines my life. I am active in local theatre in many aspects of it, I love having a pint out in a bar/pub and I love live music. I also pride myself on being a wealth of random knowledge. I love my friends, I love my job, I love my life - Rock!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't sit around crying about the crappy things that happen to you. That stuff is going to happen, so learn something from it, laugh about it, and move on. Be happy with whatever you do, try not to do things that you will regret, and love in spite of humanity's flaws. Life is too short to be unhappy and to sit around dreaming of things you want to do....do them and take awesome pictures! Dance whenever you feel like it, no matter where you are and laugh at embarrassing things that happen to you. Wow, this is longer than I thought, so one last thing... Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm participating by couch surfing on my near-future travels and meeting some cool people in the process. I will offer up my own couch when I get my own place sometime next Spring. Although I cannot offer a place to sleep, I can offer my tour guide skills and show people around where I live when I have time.

Books - Mainly a non-fiction kind of gal some recent favorites are Basilica, In Defense of Food, American Fascists, Condensed Knowledge books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise over Machu Picchu, zip-lined off of the Great Wall of China, survived 2 cancers!
