I think everyone on couchsurfing is a bit weird because who else would let strangers sleep in their house. But at the same time, that's what makes the couchsurfing community such a great community. As most people on here, I'm passionate about travelling. My favourite thing about it is to get to know different cultures and meet new people, but also get inspired by new places. I'm a person who follows his inspirations, that led me to my first bachelor in graphic design, and now I'm finishing my 2nd degree in photography. Right now my focus in photography is portrait and fashion photography. I love working together with people and creating an image together. During these two degrees, I have been an exchange student twice. one time I went to Bristol in the UK to study there for 6 months and the other time I stayed in Portland, USA to study there for 4 months. Right now my exchange in Portland is finished and I'm visiting California to make up for the lost sun in Oregon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Turku, Finland. My host was wonderful! After that it gave me a lot of motivation to do couchsurfing in other cities as well such as Paris, Wierschem and Aachen.

For me personally, couchsurfing trumps staying in a hotel or a hostel because you get the shared experience with the locals and get to know the city in a more authentic way.
