ABOUT ME

Fun fact: My last name is the name of the crappiest belgian beer! (carapils)

I am from Belgium, I am 26 and I love traveling (and beer, obviously) :-) I speak French, English, Italian and a little bit of Dutch, German and Spanish.

I love meeting new people and discovering new cultures. Back in '09 I spent a year in the US, in Iowa (if you don't know where that is well I didn't either... and honestly it's just in the middle of corn fields!). Then I studied a year in architecture in my hometown Liege, Belgium but apparently it wasn't made for me... so I started studying languages! I have since then always lived in big shared houses/apartments (L'Auberge espagnole!!) with 5-6 people, always very awesome. I also did an Erasmus year in Como, Italy.

I enjoy beer more than anything else (my roots, I can't help it) and I love music festivals ans sports... well I basically love anything I can do with other people! I love 1000th degree jokes and ridiculousness. But more than anything I love meeting people (which is why I loved working in bars at festivals, you always meet the craziest people!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have surfed twice: in Ljubljana for New Year's 2013 and in Reykjavik during a 5-day trip to Iceland in 2016 (we saw the Northern Lights!!)
I'm unable to host "for sure" as our shared flat is not that big :/ Always happy to show you around my city though :D

Interests

I love sports in general, football of course (who doesn't!). I love to go out with or without friends (I believe you can always find someone to go out with). I like to just walk around in the city, I know it might sound weird but it's the best way to discover amazing things! And of course, LOVE traveling, I already spent a year in the US and Italy, visited quite a lot of countries in Europe and hoping to see more :-)

I WENT BUNGEE JUMPING!!

The first thing that ever left me awestruck was looking at the Statue of Liberty in NYC and thinking "Europe is this way!" :-D
