Make a Difference
I have a short attention span and like constant entertainment, this means I love to travel, I love to meet people, I love to try new things. Mostly though, I love to eat.
"We cast a shadow on something wherever we stand, and it is no good moving from place to place to save things; because the shadow always follows. Choose a place where you won't do harm - yes, choose a place where you won't do very much harm, and stand in it for all you are worth, facing the sunshine.”
Sadly I didn't come up with that, EM Forster (A Room with a View)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I once slept in a stable in Costa Rica after getting lost in the jungle.
I once slept on a rooftop in Jordan after taking the wrong bus.
These were both impromptu couch surfing experiences, it was before I had heard of the website.
Fun, Travel, humanitarian work, fine wine, cheap wine, cheese.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met a 101 year old lady in a tiny village in rural Kenya. Every one of the 50+ inhabitants of the village she lived in was one of her descendants/relatives. I have never seen anyone so loved and respected.
