So I'm Louise, I'm 21, I grew up in Paris. I love my city but I love even more that feeling of discovering a place for the first time.
I study Arabic and international relations at university in England. But I had to escape after a while, I went to Lebanon for a gap year, which was actually a great experience. Beirut is an incredible city to get know and i fell in love with the culture, how open and warm everybody is, the big table full of food to share, i love it so much!
I am on couchsurfing to meet people, sharing stories and ideas and get the key to unlock the places I visit.
I am just as comfortable seating around the table, having conversations as I am out at night partying.
Right now I am travelling in Palestine and would love to be hosted by people who can help me explore this beautiful country and have something to teach me, wether it's arabic, politics or just to have a fun time!
Music, Movies, and Books
I like music a lot but it's hard to reduce it to one genre. At the moment I really like to listen to Mac Demarco, Nicolas Jaar. I am sure if you're interested I can show you some nice stuff.
I grew up in quite film fanatic family, from Chaplin to modern french films.
I like Xavier Dolan, the Cohen brothers, Jacques Demy, Wes Anderson, Ken Loach
I dont have a favourite author but I read randomly. some books I love and would enjoy talking about are The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Prophet by Gibran, Les Desorientes by Amin Maalouf.
