About Me

Addicted to life.
... and wine.

To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all. (Oscar Wilde)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

stupid question

cultures, languages, travelling, health, environment, yoga, flea markets, trekking, adventures, hiking, theatre, gardening, alternative lifestyles, photography, writing/journalism, international relations/politics, humanitarian development, cooking (vegetarian, vegan), sports, sailing, surfing, diving, exhibitions, the 60s, fine wine, fine chocolate, bouldering, religion (but I'm an atheist), music, concerts, dancing, good books, philosophy, nature, sunshine, summer, spring, autumn, winter ..

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven't seen many films yet. When I was younger I didn't really get the pleasure of watching a movie (maybe because I just knew that Hollywood crap) and I preferred reading books or living my own life instead of watching other (or not even real) people's adventures - but now I love "slow" movies and old ones too ..

It's too bad I wasn't born a few decades ago - I adore 60's music. But if someone would like to invite me to the Austin Psych Festival, that'd be great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

..only one? Wow, there are so many amazing things happening in life! Everyday! Embrace it! But while talking about faboulous experiences: try the pilgrimage to Santiago on the "Ruta de la Pata" (it's an alternative route to the touristy northern Camino de Santiago) and see for yourself. I also recommend to visit a Rainbow Gatherin at least once in your life. It will change you, I promise.

Teach, Learn, Share

Just imagine: if society collapses, what can you offer?
I'm more of a thinker and not an expert in anything practical, but I'm constantly trying to improve my practical skills and knowledge. Maybe you can teach me something new?
And while doing that I would love to hear about your view on life and wonderful stories!
