I grew up on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, moved away for college, and am finally thinking it's time for me to see more of the world as a solo traveler (a lot of my traveling was done with my family when I was younger). I'd like to think that I'm very open minded, and I love listening to people's stories and thoughts. Getting to know new, interesting people is one of my favorite things right now. So tell me all about you!
I'm also very passionate about food. Unlike the stereotypical "foodie", I am not at all pretentious about the food I eat; my tastes range from cheap and terrible (terribly delicious) fast food to over-the-top 9 course tasting menus. If it tastes good, I will eat it. I will also try anything at least once, possibly twice to make sure that the first time wasn't a fluke. Disclaimer: I will want to eat. A lot. I will want to hear all of your food recommendations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My desire to travel coupled with my love of getting to know new people with interesting and different viewpoints and life stories makes Couchsurfing seem like a good choice. I am completely new to this, so I may be horribly wrong, but it's worth it to check it out for myself. After browsing this site, I realize that newbies like me are pretty undesirable, but we all have to start somewhere! Take a chance on me(cue some ABBA).
Food, eating, conversations, cooking, baking, board games, video games, hiking, getting lost in a city, blankets, tea, & my cat (your cat or dog is pretty great too).
