I never can get this box just right, but I'll do my best. Currently, I'm an open mind travelling for the next 7 months or so in search of something more. I don't quite know what that means, I just have this strange feeling that there is something more to life than what it is right now, and I want to find it. I may just be crazy. I think it's more about the adventure and less about the destination, so I'm just going to keep going.
To be more traditional, I'm open minded, kind, honest, and I love to meet new people and learn everything I can about them because EVERYBODY has something interesting in them. I also appreciate spontaneity, because it always results in something fun.
Happiness happiness happiness. When I'm not happy I stop, take a step back, and figure out why I'm not happy, and then I change. Too many people either try to tough it out or ignore issues, which seems a bit ignorant to me, because then it's bound to happen again.
#2 It bugs me when people pick up really cool shells or stones on the beach and keep them. All they do is sit on a shelf, and yeah they symbolize some amazing trip you had long ago, but so does my album of pictures. If you find something really cool, leave it alone! Then the next person walking along that beach will find it and feel the exact same excitement as you did. I find it comforting when I leave things alone, because I know somewhere in the future I made someone happy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can't host, but I will surf a little in New Zealand. I really don't care so much about the free couch, it's more about meeting different people.
I like normal things like backpacking, tramping, swimming, slacklining, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, soccer, partying and just relaxing. I'm always able to find something interesting in everything.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Into The Wild, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Oceans 11, The Departed.
Music: I've found something good in every genre, but right now I'm trying to expand my music taste into the past through classic rock radio stations and such
Books: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, On the Road, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Great Gatsby, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm, adventures of Huck Finn, Slaughterhouse- five
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Exploring the Chugach Mountain range and the Prince William Sound in Alaska for a month was incredible. There's nothing like the AK wilderness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would say right now I'm more of a learner because I haven't experienced nearly as much as others, but that also give me a different perspective on things. I love to listen, and I try to contribute as much as possible. I love the idea of CS being a living learning community.
