Travel, relax, learn about middle eastern art, continually renew my Lebanese visa.
I'm a recent addition to Beirut, moved here for two years to get my masters, focusing on contemporary arab art.
Never attribute to malice, what could be attributed to stupidity. I don't like getting upset and stressed out, I generally keep a level head and don't take things personally.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hiking and language exchange with Beirut couchsurfers and helping out the visitors I meet through my friends here.
One of my roommates in Damascus actually came to us from CouchSurfing. She surfed my other roommate's friend's couch and they met at dinner one night and we ended up liking the girl so much that she moved in. The couch hoster constantly had up to five surfers in her house so we also got to meet a lot of other great people in the same way with tons of great stories. I have also been hiking in Beirut with a couch surfing group a couple of times, and started going to a language exchange with them as well to practice my Arabic.
Music of any kind though I am particularly a fan of anything I can hear live, learning languages, studio art (painting, photography, and drawing... I am terrible in 3D), politics, societal development, identity, hiking, swimming, reading (primarily historical fiction or quirky non-fiction, occasionally some fantasy rolled in), tennis

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a chick flick junkie, there is no way around that fact, but occasionally I watch other movies as well and generally enjoy intellectual thrillers, comedies, and occasionally an action movie. I can't handle horror films at all, they definitely freak me out. And Titanic... I never really enjoyed it.
Music: I like all kinds of different music and am constantly looking for something new. My latest obsession has been Mashrou3 Leila from Beirut, Lebanon, you should look them up if you don't know them. I have a soft spot in my heart for trashy American pop, and also listen to Alternative Rock a lot, with another soft spot for 90s music, particularly Train and Goo Goo Dolls. I also enjoy country music at times and jazz and classical. Feirouz and Nancy Ajram also make my Arabic music favorites list.
