About Me
Hello, my name is Luca and I just turned 18 years old. I am from Germany and finished school this year. I will stay in Australia for one whole year (arriving on the 30th December 2015 in Sydney) before I start studying medical science in Germany in 2017.
People describe me as an open-minded and friendly person. I am looking forward to learn more about the australian culture and hopefully make new friends in down under.
My English is not the best but I think you can understand me – hopefully I will improve it fast during my stay in Australia.
Thanks a lot and best regards
Luca
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would like to learn more about cultures and traditions and improve my English knowledge – so I think Couchsurfing is a great way to get everything together. I hope we’ll have a good time.
Interests
My most important hobbies are sport and music. I am doing Shaolin Kempo (sort of Kung Fu) and Kickboxing – I support this with fitness and strength training. Beside this I really enjoy skiing/snowboarding, playing tennis and basketball and discover new things. I would love to learn surfing during my stay in Australia.
On the other side I am playing the drums since 12 years and love playing it together with friends or other musicians. Also I am able to use the guitar (or ukulele) and the piano a little bit and I love visiting festivals or live concerts in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like hearing music of a lot of bands. But one of my favourites are Radiohead, alt-J, Ben Howard, Muse, OK Kid, Queen, Snow Patrol, Toto, Two Door Cinema Club and The Wombats. I really enjoy visiting festivals or live concerts in general.
Conerning the question of my favourite movie I don’t have to think more than one second: It’s definitely the Lord oft the Rings triology.
I have already read a lot of books (mainly the genre “fantasy“) and I think the best book is “Die Zwerge“ written by Markus Heiz.
Teach, Learn, Share
During my time in Germany I was youth coach in my club for shaolin kempo and kickboxing. At home I am responsible for washing up. I’ve got a driving licence for cars, so I could help you with your shoppings.
