My name is Lucas, and I am just finishing up my masters degree in medical administration. I am looking to travel more after I complete my program and before I start my residency.

I have never done couch surfing on a scale such as this before, so I'm very excited.

I am a very outgoing person and love to talk to people. One of the things I like to do when I'm abroad is to meet as many people as I can to have a broader knowledge of the world and how we see it, and to further understand the cultures of the world. I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to cultures, history, and geography.

I guess an interesting fact about me is I'm half American Indian (Mohawk Tribe), which a lot of people have never met one before.

I often keep a journal close by and like to take notes about what I see and hear, whether about the people, the atmosphere or a historic site.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see as much as the world as possible! However upon completing 7+ years of university, I don't have the funds to get 5 star hotels in every city.

I also think it'd be a great opportunity to meet other people and see how people live while abroad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught horseback riding for some extra money while I was in college. Also, won state championship in chess when I was in the 6th grade.

I also can make friends with anyone. While abroad once I even got invited to a wedding.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very polite and easy going. I am also clean (make my bed every morning and never leave dishes in the sink) and considerate in terms of noise level.

I also hope can offer a good talk, exchange views and past experiences. Hopefully stay long-term friends, and they could have a chance to stay with me If they ever travel to my home area.
