I completely approve the concept and I wish I heard about it before!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the CouchSurfing community but here's a small story from an unexpected tent-surfing:

Last summer I was camping with my brother in the middle of nowhere in Mongolia, it was a stormy night, the wind and rain were shaking the tent all around. Suddently, the noise of a motorbike woke us up and a local guy popped up in our tent! He was freezing, soaking wet, he was travelling on his own without anything except his coat and somehow got lost. At least that's what we guessed from exchanging a few signs. He managed to squeeze into the tent with us and fell asleep.

He woke up at dawn with a big smile on his face, the weather had cleared up. He gave us a handshake and rode away on his bike!

Interests

Beeing outdoors! Skiing, hiking up moutains, climbing sleeping outside, having a bonefire evening. Sailling and swimming (especially when the water is freezing cold!!).
