About Me

I live on the south west coast of Ireland in the summer and travel in the winter. I really enjoy hosting couch surfers when I can!

I studied Art and Architectural History, worked in fashion buying and styling before the pandemic. I'm now running the guesthouse for the summer and training to become a furniture maker in winter. I come from a small farm outside of Dublin, Ireland where we produce our own fruit, vegetables and occasionally meat.

I am very interested in food, where it comes from etc. I particularly love finding out about whatever foods are typical to the area I'm in and love trying out different street food. I'm pretty social and love to go to the pub for a chat over a few pints of Guinness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it’s important when traveling to meet people living in the area and to get to know them.

I ran a guesthouse in the south of Ireland for the summer season and have done a similar form of couchsurfing and HelpX with it in the past through which I’ve met some truly wonderful people and had very interesting conversations!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read and share books with friends, I love fiction and find historical fiction as a good tool in learning about a region.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I starred in a Bollywood film while backpacking in India. Climbed to 5416m whilst trekking in Nepal and spent 75 hours straight in transit from the south of India to Kathmandu. Two year's ago I solo hiked the 215km Kerry Way and camped en route and last year I solo cycled 2,400km along the Wild Atlantic Way and wild camped en route raising money for a youth mental health charity.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very interested in many different areas from climate change and sustainability and love to discuss, learn about and share new ways of living more sustainably (though I promise I'm not judgemental or overbearing about it!).

I am a pretty good barista and relatively alright cook so am happy to help around the kitchen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very interested in learning about diff cultures and what people in different areas do in their every day lives. I can attempt to teach people about the Irish culture and it’s history.

I am also delighted to help out in any way around the house or with projects you’re working on as well as to leave you in peace when that’s what you want!
