About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To appreciate life and make the most of every day.

ABOUT ME

I'd describe myself as somewhat shy but very adventurous. I love to try new things- locations, people, food, sports, languages, etc. I'm in a very positive transition phase- I worked in the finance field, spending the majority of my waking life in front of a computer screen, on my butt, surrounded by four sound resistant cubicle walls for the past three years. I slowly but surely came to the realization that this was not for me and am going to graduate school in the fall to pursue a degree in International Relations and I've never been happier. I am an avid sports fan and try to include sports and attending sporting events into my travels. I hope to see all 30 major league ballparks over the next few years- if finances permit.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is Short. I've always had the idea in the back of my mind that I will die early, so i use the quote as a daily mantra.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to the CS project, but heard about it from a friend who lends his couch to weary travelers and raves about the program. I intend to participate when I move to San Diego, so look me up if you need a place to crash.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've spent many nights on friend's couches across the country (and in Canada) and have had a great time. I've spend nights sleeping on the floors in closets in 90+ degree heat, I've had friends insist on sleeping on the floor so I can take their bed. It's amazing how generous people are. I've hosted my fair share of guests in Chicago as well. My blow up mattress has seen a lot of different people.
