I'm new to couchsurfing and just registered. I am currently on travel and will not be able to host in my home in Barcelona or Paris.
I'm on the last year of my doctoral degree in bioacoustics and oceanography that I am doing in Barcelona, Spain but I am French and grew up in Paris. My thesis is about the localization of large baleen whales using acoustics and imaging.
I'll be travelling to many different places in 2017/2018 either for conferences or as a Visiting Scientist in universities and research centres. I am starting my trips with a visit in a research institute in Bergen, Norway, then I will go to Scotland, Germany, Brazil, USA.
I'm a big music fan, I like baroque and ancient music (Purcell,Rameau) a lot but also jazz (Coltrane, Mingus, etc), electronic music, rap and rock. I used to host radio shows about music on the student radio in Paris and in Aalborg (Denmark).
I love literature and philosophy, as far as writers I am quite fond of Philip Roth, Michel Tournier, John Updike...
