About Me

Well, I am...
... open-minded and very interested in learning new things
... uncomplicated and happy to meet people
... happy to share experiences and stories
... sporty and likely to do some outdoor activities
... a good listener, happy to be told some stories
...
... not good at describing myself :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In September 2015, three months after my High School graduation, I started traveling around New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa. First I just stayed at hostels but then I met a girl, who had made great experiences with couchsurfing. So I joined the community and here I am.

Interests

At the moment my main interest is traveling and getting to know New Zealand as much as possible. I am very into the outdoors, love hiking and kayaking.
At home I used to be part of a volleyball team and a swimming squad and I do like doing sports.
Furthermore I love reading and sometimes writing, listening to some good music, meeting friends, playing games or just talk.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Citizen Cope, Rolling Stones, Travis, Florence and the Machine, Ed Sheeran, Supertramp... It is so hard to choose!
Movies:
Little Miss Sunshine, The Kings Speech, Catch Me If You Can and all Harry Potter Movies (I am a little Geek about that...)
Books:
That is definetly the hardest question! I like almost everything, that is well written and has a good story. The last one I read was Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating in a students exchange with palestine. That was one of the greatest experiences I have ever made. The country is so beautiful and so different from home.
Hiking through the desert in the "Wadi Qelt" and afterwards swimming in the death sea was amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

As long as I am here, I would like to learn as much as possible about New Zealand. So if you could tell me something about the area you live in, that would be great!
If you like, I can show you some German cooking and tell you something about life in Europe, which slightly differs from the New Zealand way of life.
Maybe also teach you some German expressions, if you want to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My travel experiences and some funny stories from home :) I always like to have a good laugh and just share a nice evening.
