About Me

Not just live but enjoy life.

I love to talk straight and have deep discussions while queuing up for food in the student cafeteria. I respect honesty.

I spend my time writing, training and doing activism related to veganism and queer human rights; recently I've started to be active in the Green political movement.

Live and let others live.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I can hang out and possibly also host (that depends on my flatmates). And I surf, of course!

I've slept on many couches in Russia, Poland and Sweden.

Talking. You choose the topic, preferably a smart one and more or less connected to politics, psyche and better world. Or whatever interests you, I can usually keep up with the conversation, or then just listen and learn.

Dancing. Baking small gifts to good people.

Music, Movies & Books

It's very hard for me to describe the kind of culture that I like since I can find an idea and something beautiful in every genre. Culture, music etc mirror people's inner movements or how they find their place, past and present in the world. And much more. It's fascinating to spend time with people that listen or do something I have never before done or listened.

Silence is, however, the best music in this over-technologized world. In silence, the brain starts to sing just the songs that somehow reflect what and how you are in that moment.

Unfortunately I watch moves very rarely, I prefer books. But for example American History X and the Life of David Gale are movies that had a huge impact on me.
Books: Classics + A Thousand Splendid Suns, Princess (about a Saudi princess and the life behind the curtains and hijra), Cunt, Äiti-Venäjän aakkoset (=the Alphabet of Mother Russia, best Finnish introductory book to Russian culture/habits etc), I remember that at junior high school age I read a book titled Rauhaa! (Peace!), it was about Palestinian youth, and it also impressed me. I just found a new poet, Veera Antsalo, whose verses reach the point.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The sunlight glittering on the snow all around me. Russian countryside. Animals. A baby laughing. Theatre in Saint Petersburg. Touching.

Teach, Learn, Share

Everything that happens, doesn't happen for a reason. Life lacks a meaning, but that's actually what's so cool about life.

I can bake for you and teach some basics of veganism and Russian language. Or take for a 25 km walk to start the day.

Countries I've Visited

Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russian Federation, Sweden

Countries I've Lived In

Finland, Poland, Russian Federation
