ABOUT ME

My name is Russell, I'm 22 years old and from England, UK. I'm going to be travelling New Zealand starting September 6th 2011. It'll be my first time backpacking anywhere. I've only ever been out of the UK twice and both times I went to the USA. First time on a family holiday to Florida for 2 weeks, second time to Kansas to visit my friend who lives there for 10 days. I've only been twice but I've been to 4 states: Florida, Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma. Also when I fly to NZ I have a stopover in Los Angeles so I can add California to my list soon! :D

I also have a list as long as your arm of places I want to travel in after (or if) I come back from New Zealand. I'd love to spend some time in Australia, Canada, the USA (again), Fiji, China, Japan well pretty much all of Asia, then some places in Europe mainly Portugal, Italy, Greece and the Netherlands (my surname Sprake is actually the Dutch word for "There" so that could be a clue pointing towards my family ancestry :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to do the whole couch surfing thing as it seems like the best way to meet real locals from the places I visit. I've always preferred to meet real proper people in everyday places as opposed to the touristy manufactured places.

Música, películas y libros

Movies: I like lots of films really but mainly comedy and superhero movies especially the new Batman series by Christopher Nolan. RIP Heath Ledger.

Music: I like rock, industrial, some metal, some hip hop, 70s/80s power ballads (I'll Stand By You by The Pretenders is one of my favourite songs ever) and I also love some British pop acts like Ellie Goulding,I fancy the pants off her ;) I also like Adele, Calvin Harris and Example.

Books: I like superhero graphic novels like The Dark Knight Returns and The Watchmen. I also really enjoy reading Autobiographies.

Been to 4 US states and met some fantastic people there. I haven't had a chance to do much travelling so far in my life so not much to tell yet.
