Overview
About Me
I am a 24 year old travel fanatic! After university I swapped a normal life for a life at sea, working as a photographer on a cruise ship. For the last year (2015 & 2016) I got to travel to unbelievable places, meet so many new friends and learn about their languages and culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing gives you an inside look into the world an lives of the people you visit. I am very interested in language and culture, so by getting to be a part of someones life, even for a day, is an adventure and a way to learn more about the people of a town, region or country.
Interests
I am obsessed with documenting beautiful places and people through photography. I am also an avid reader, I love horses and horse riding and camping with my family and friends. But mostly I love to travel and write about it. You can go read my blog at www.coraltreeblog.wordpress.com or find the link on my Instagram profile, @luzanne_k

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Indie music, listening to bands such as Bon Iver, alt-J and the Arctic Monkeys, but my taste in music is very wide as I also love The Beatles and Sia. Just not a very big heavy metal fan! Walter Mitty might be my favourite movie for now, but I enjoy most films that makes you think a litte. I read a wide variety of books, everything from 18th century Jane Austen to any Lonely Planet guides.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year in 2015 I got to go to Swallows Cave in Vavu', Tonga. It is a hollow cave with millions of little fish inside, swimming in huge shoals. It was one of the most spectacular things that I have ever seen and I can highly recommend it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have traveled quite a lot and I have many stories to tell. I have gained so much knowledge about different people and cultures and I would love to share some of these experiences with other like minded Couchsurfers. I am also very willing to learn anything new, from languages to eating habits. That, for me, is the whole point of traveling.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bed for a bed. If you are part of the Couchsurfing community, I assume you love travel as much as I do. My home in South Africa will always be open to travelers.
