About Me

To preserve the CS spirit!!! If you're interested in knowing what CS is REALLY about, check this helpful link --->

We are a couple of dreamers: Sergio and Maria Luz. We are living in Lago Puelo, in south Argentine. I'm teaching Microbiology at University and Sergio is studying Agroecology. We are on our path to self-sufficiency! We have our own orchard, where we produce some of our food (chickens and bees on the way!). Besides that, we love singing, painting, dancing, laughing, travelling! I (Maria Luz) love cooking, specially sweets!! Sergio loves parkour, climbing and playing guitar!!
We love moving around, met new people and discover new places! We also love nature, outdoor activities, trekking, etc.

You are what you believe you are. When the way you think changes, you change too.
We eat all kinds of food (meat, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, vegetables, fruits, cereals, etc.), we have read a lot of information before choosing our omnivorous diet. Even though, we respect different points of view regarding nutrition, we don't like when people try to convince us of changing our eating habits. Please, avoid doing that! Besides, we don't believe there's one "perfect" universal diet. Each person must find its own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I (María Luz) have hosted a few people. I also participated in CS meetings and I actually organized some of them. I also showed the city to some travelers when I couldn't host. A few years ago, I met Sergio, we fell in love and we're hosting CSers together since then. We enjoy meeting different kinds of people and also we love practicing other languages and knowing about other ways of living. That´s why we're very happy of meeting new Csurfers!! When we arrived, we tried to build a community in "La comarca del paralelo 42° S" with monthly meetings , but we didn't succeed.

Each experience hosting CSers was unique and fantastic. And I have also been hosted by the most wonderful people. All the experiences I've had went from nice to amazing! I also attended local and foreign CS meetings and I had the best time! I even had a couchsurfing birthday party while travelling in Milano!

Finding out how others believe they can change the world, to learn from them. Permaculture, alternative ways of living, producing and consuming. Natural and/or organic agriculture, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

To those whishing to learn about CS I recommend the reading of these tips
What I´ve learned the past few years I think everyone knows...but sometimes we need someone to remind it.
Life is right now!! Nobody knows how long is going to be in this world. So, as long as you don´t hurt anyone, DO whatever makes you happy. There´s nothing worst than a life with regrets!
I can teach you Spanish, my very personal way of cooking, to sing a few "Tangos" if you're interested
I want to learn about organic agriculture and sustainable ways of living
You don't shit where you eat...then: TAKE CARE OF YOUR PLANET!!!
What I can teach: biology, cooking.
What I can share: my singing, my experiences, my beliefs and somethimes a piece of my heart.
What I want to learn: everything I can!!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are very neat, specially if we are in someone else's house. We are also very respectful of other people's lives, so we'll adjust to your times and routine. We can also offer you argentinian music, some tango and folklore, to prepare a nice meal to share. We can also give our friendship if we feel it neccessary :)
