Join Couchsurfing to see Lydia’s full profile. It’s free!
I'm from Brighton originally and lived here all my life so if you need any tips on where to go and what to see feel free to ask! Or we can meet up and I can show you!
I have two cats who are collectively known by everyone as 'The Faces'.
I love music, to laugh, socialise, drink, eat, cook, talk, listen, read, watch and dance.
I have recently got back from travelling in South America and hoping to keep improving my Spanish.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When a friend told me about the Coachsurfing community I couldn't wait to sign up; what a great way to meet people, help them out and maybe even show them some Brighton gems. Equally; going to a city I don't know what's better than meeting up with someone who knows the place and not only will I imagine having a better holiday for it, but also the possibility of making new friends as well.
Cheese based jokes / bad jokes.... seriously.
Family - All my family live in Brighton so we're pretty close
My friends and of course, making new friends - I love socialising and meeting people from different places and walks of life. I love listening to different points of view and discussing mine as well.
Gin and red wine (not mixed together!)
Cooking - me and my friends take it in turns to cook dinner each week for eachother. One is veggie so we all do our best to come up with new veggie recipes each week which I love doing, although I am a meat eater.
Music - I have a collective taste and love most genres of music! I'm a spotify addict and love going to live gigs - there's a GREAT festival in Brighton every year called the Great Escape - you need to check it out!
- red wine
Music, Movies, and Books
wow. Too many to list so I'll let you know the most recent music I've listened to, book I read and Movie I saw:
The last song I listened to was Nick Mulvey - Nitrous Man
The last movie I watched was The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 - I've really enjoyed the Hunger Games films, but another film I recently watched that I loved was Oldboy, so two quite different types of film there...
The last book I read was The Unbearable Lightness of Being (one of my favourite books I've ever read so far)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My volunteering with the youth offending team. I'm really proud to do it and love working with the young people.
