About Me

Hello. I am a laid back, happy, middle aged gal living in Indianapolis, IN, the Crossroads of America. I work as a Nurse and just completed massage therapy school. I hope to take my massage practice into hospitals, nursing homes and hospices.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because as I have traveled over the years I have grown weary of sleeping in sterile hotel rooms, eating in boring hotel restaurants and often never engaging in any real intellectual dialogue. The best times to be had, I believe, are with the locals.
Thus, I'd really enjoy meeting and hosting new people in my home so they can feel at home while away from their home.

My interests include kayaking. Currently I have only kayaked in lakes and streams. I would love to white water kayak and learn to SUP. I'm an avid reader. I love to listen to people tell their stories, especially if it occurs around a camp fire.

Music, Movies, and Books

My 2 favorite movies are: Field of Dreams and The Shawshank Redemption. They are both about redemption, forgiveness, friendship, and love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Homs, Syria during my 23rd year. Unfortunately, I was too young and dumb to appreciate the wonderfulness that was around me. And now...sadly, the area is demolished. From that living experience, I have learned to better appreciate the people and history of the areas I now travel to.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wish:
I wish someone had taught me to save money when I got my first job at 13.
I wish I would have asked for more advice from sage people about more things over the years.
I wish I would have traveled more before I tied myself down to "the American Dream".
And I'm glad that I do all of those things now and have realized...It's Never Too Late!
