I'd like to consider myself a friendly, relaxed, respectful, and open-minded person. Big cities make me feel alive, and nature reconnects me to my spirituality. My biggest passion is art of all kinds, and I'm also very into meditation, yoga, activism, and conscious lifestyles... and always seeking to learn more from whoever I come into contact with.
"Pendare nik, goftare nik, kerdare nik" - an ancient Persian Zoroastrian mantra which translates as "good thoughts, good words, good deeds."
"Querer es poder" - "To want is to be able to" / "To love is power"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've both hosted and surfed, and have had great experiences meeting genuinely nice and interesting people.
art of all kinds and medias (especially street art/graffiti,) nature and hiking, music, meeting new people, meditation, yoga, activism and social issues, ayurvedic and holistic medicine, healthy eating, and exploring new cultures and languages.
Music, Movies, and Books
I like electronic music of all kinds, lots of 60s and 70s music, Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Latin American (cumbia, tropicalia, bossa nova, etc.), reggae, downtempo, dub, psychedelic rock; for movies, mainly independent/arthouse cinema; and for books, I like magical realism in non-fiction, for example Salman Rushdie and Gabriel García Márquez.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my favorite places are the Kuna Blas (San Blas) islands off the coast of Panama and Colombia, because I adore beaches, and these were the most impressive, pristine beaches I've ever seen.... Plus, they're inhabited by one of the most intact indigenous cultures in the world, the beautiful and interesting Kuna.
