ABOUT ME

I grew up in a very small town in the countryside in MA, USA and graduated from a little boarding school in Vermont in 2011. I decided that I wanted to come to Argentina and learn castellano and dance the tango and explore a new world, thus I set off carrying only the essentials: A copy of War and Peace, few clothes and a harmonic which I am learning how to play. I have been farming in the south of Argentina for the last few months but now I am ready to tackle the bustling and enigmatic city of Buenos Aires.
Walking along the streets I imagine Borges might have been struck by the same smile on a waiters face or perhaps listened to the birds in the trees on the same block under the same tree where I have stood countless times. I simply want to live and walk and imagine and talk to everyone I meet and hear their stories and share mine.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I often find myself sitting for hours just thinking to myself. I cannot survive if there is not time for record my dreams and thoughts as well as time to read. I could happily spend my time picking away at the banjo and singing or playing my favorite Bach prelude, however at a certain point I crave human contact. What really sets me on fire is the sort of feeling one gets during a conversation in which everything is forgotten and one lives purely in the moment. That is the reason I am traveling:to capture such moments as often as possible and then try my best never to forget a single one. I suppose one could say I am a melancholic phlegmatic.

Interests

I love to cook for people and eat everything. I am a dancer and I like to sing and play music and listen to stories and read books and memorize poetry sometimes and do yoga and learn learn learn from those around me. Laughing, smiles, sometimes a few tears and wandering aimlessly with no purpose whatsoever and swimming. I could swim forever and ever. Right now all I wantto do is speak castellano so I am practicing as hard as I can and making a fool out of myself most of the time.
