Hi there,
I’m Magdalena - a traveler, volunteer, and someone who just loves being part of a community. Since my early student years, I’ve been involved in different social projects, working with NGOs, and supporting local initiatives (e.g. teaching English to kids, working with underprivileged youth, helping indigenous villages to construct solar lamp panels, supporting asylum seekers and refugees).

I used to travel a lot, then settled down for one year in my hometown - Cracow. Last year, I hit the road again as I wanted to get back to my journey roots. This time, I’m taking it really slow, more intentionally, focusing on people and experiences rather than just passing through places.

I’ve always been drawn to people and shared experiences. Working in hostels in Poland, Vietnam, and Iceland taught me that I love creating spaces where people connect. It also taught me adaptability, problem-solving, and how to work in diverse, ever-changing environments. That’s probably why I say “yes” to almost anything - one week, I’ll be learning massage techniques, the next, I’ll be on a fishing expedition with a local community, or ending up as a volunteer for a cinematography festival I didn’t even know existed.

I work remotely as an IT project manager, which helps me balance travel with something steady. But when I’m in one place, I love working with my hands - building, fixing things, and trying new crafts like stained glass or mosaics. I really want to get into woodworking too. I just like making things. Same with being outdoors - there’s no such thing as bad conditions, only the wrong mindset. To name a few, I’ve bike packed along the Polish coast, trekked through rainy Scotland with a tent, hiked to Annapurna Base Camp, and hitchhiked across the Middle East. I enjoy a bit of a challenge.

I also care about the world and what’s happening in it. I don’t want to just exist in my own little bubble - I try to stay aware, learn, and understand different perspectives. One day, I’d love to study humanitarian aid and contribute to good causes.

Animals have always been an important part of my life. Being around them gives me a sense of peace and energy, and their well-being really matters to me.

I’m looking for a place where people come together to build something meaningful. I love good conversations, working with my hands, and simple, intentional living.

I can teach you some Polish or English, share knowledge about balancing work and travel, help with manual arts and crafts, cook a delicious vegan or vegetarian meal, or share some great stories from my travels and my time working in a party hostel.
On the other hand, I've always wanted to finally learn how to play cards and backgammon.
