Overview
About Me
I am fascinated about the complexity of the world and life. And even more about the simplicity of it.
I feel like I am in constant movement between paradoxes, contradictions and interconnections.
I like the archetype of the trickster, the joker in myths and legends. I love stories.
I will be probably curious about you, whoever and however you are, dear human. But you will not have to tell me anything you don’t want to share.
As for me, I think I am rather light and easy to communicate but it’s also fine for me if you will think differently, I will still respect you.
I will tell you if something in your way of treating me feels unpleasant and will ask you to respect that too. I enjoy feeling clarity and peace and that is how it works for me best.
I was born within borders of Poland and have been living in Iceland for past 9 years. I am happy to tell you my impressions of those places from the local point of view.
Sometimes I am an extrovert, enjoy meeting and hanging out with people, walking around with no other aim than experiencing the moment and the surroundings. Discovering places. Laughing and being active. I like playing games in parks and making bonfires. I go camping with friends and family when time is right. And I love cooking and making shared dinners.
Sometimes I seek solitude especially in wilderness. I quiet myself, reflecting, writing, drawing, playing music and stuff like that. I also needs those moments when I travel, to just stay on a couch and read a book.
I like spending time outdoor rock climbing, cycling, swimming in lakes, rivers and oceans or just relaxing watching clouds or stars.
So that’s a little collage of impressions about me 🌱
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m back on Couchsurfing as a traveller now that I visit Japan to experience a direct human to human connection.
For two months before my travel I’ve lived with local community in Nagasaki prefecture as a part of my movement training (I study with Japanese sansei) and realised again the value of getting to know the place and culture through local people. I travel for the experience, the way, the learning and I believe that people who are hosts on Couchsurfing are the ones open for that exchange.
In the future I would love to host more when my living situation allows.

Music, Movies, and Books
Most of the books I’ve read were randomly picked from the street, hostels or gifted by others. I don’t try to remember the titles or authors. I enjoyed them all. Some were really boring some exiting some full of knowledge and facts. I guess I just like variety in my life and don’t like staying in one category. I’d be curious for your recommendations. And I can also give you some or maybe I even have a book with me to pass to you.
And it’s same with movies. Best movies I’ve watched I don’t know how to find anymore. But they were mostly all about some people. Living ordinary life somewhere in the world. Poetic narrative and shots.
Something was happening to them. They had to take action, had some dilemma. Maybe they did immoral things but you wouldn’t call them bad people. There was someone looking at the tree and that tree felt like a spirit.
When I was a teenager I liked horror movies. Now I am not sure anymore. I don’t like being scared.
But I like mystery, spirits and ordinary human things.
And I love nature movies!
Music changes day by day ..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saved a praying mantis from drowning and became friends with her.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my passion for improvisation in movement and theatre. That’s something I am exploring and learning about since few years but also all my life.
I love words and language and would be interested in learning something about your language. And culture and history of the place you’re from.
And if you enjoy cooking like me I would be more than happy to invent some fusion dish or teach each other traditional recipes.
