ABOUT ME

I love to meet new people! I am outgoing, friendly, adventurous and a good listener. I am happy meandering through a new place without a map and striking up conversations with people I meet along the way. I also love to relax and let things happen as they go, too much planning doesn't allow for spontaneity! I love traveling because it enables us to go outside of our comfort zones to explore new places, meet interesting people and pay attention to the ordinary things that make a culture so unique.

I spend a lot of my free time hanging out with friends, reading, doing yoga and running and getting involved in my community. I love meeting people who I would not meet on a normal daily basis if i just did the eat-work-sleep drill. I will seek out any opportunity to speak Spanish and be apart of the larger community. Being open to spontaneity and different things is very life giving.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Hiking through out Patagonia was an overwhelmingly amazing experience. I could not get over the sheer beauty and diversity of the southernmost part of our world. My brain felt like exploding as I tried to take in all the ecological diversity and majesty. It didn't hurt that I was with cool people either :)

Busing through Tanzania was incredible because we saw the country the way most Tanzanians see it and met some awesome locals along the way who were open to sharing their stories and experiences. A seemingly ordinary bus ride turned out to be one of the highlights of my experience!

A simpler, but just as important moment was when my friends and I had dinner recently. I looked around the table after hours of laughs, stories and good food and realized how lucky I am to have these people in my life. Traveling is awesome, but having meaningful, sustaining friendships to participate in every day is what life is about!
