To help travelers find comfortable and interesting destinations
Hello! My name is Lauren. I have just reached my mid-20s and have spent the last few years of my life living in different locations primarily for college and experience (Sweden, Los Angeles, Northern California).
I am now back in Southern California and have decided to leave school for various reasons. I am now pursuing my own online consulting business as well as developing my own blog/community called Enlighten Together.
Currently I feel the urge to settle in a place I call "home". My dream to is to live off the grid out in the desert, preferably near Joshua Tree. I am interested in networking with people who are actively pursuing off-grid living.
I always love meeting positive and optimistic people who are excited about the future. Many people interpret me as being serious and analytical, but I am real and open to learning about new ideas and innovative projects. I believe that we have more control over our lives than what we think!
My latest innovative project that I welcome everyone to participate in.
I am very interested in sustainable living, living off the grid, improving communities, etc. I also love observing landforms, checking out awesome rock structures, and understanding the geologic history of various locations, hence, I am a Geology major.
I really enjoy sharing information with others. I can speak in front of a large group of people, produce youtube videos, broadcasting online radio shows, participate in clubs, etc. The ironic thing is that I am very bad at "small talk" in large groups, and will often be a loner.
Cycling is the only sport I consistently participate in. My current goal is to do 50 miles, whereas right now I can do 30 on flat terrain!
I love post punk, new wave, 90s alt, and new hipster music. The Cure, Siouxsie, Depeche Mode, Iggy Pop, Pixies, Bowie, Christian Death, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Phoenix, Florence and the Machine, etc.
Now that I look back on it, living in Sweden for a year was fairly courageous. I am also very proud of my business idea, and know that it will be successful if I keep at it.
