Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's the best way to explore places and travel and saves money. I often use this saved money for taking the host to restaurant or making a nice dinner.
My favourite ways of spending time include going with a backpack and tent deep inside a natural forest, there where no other humans go and observe and interact with the wildlife and elements.
I know a lot about the II World War, and although it was a terrible thing, it's fascinating. Particularly the Operation Barbarossa, Afrika Korps and Warsaw Uprising and things not many people know about, like Polish terrorist attacks in Berlin in 1943 in retaliation for repressions in Poland. I think it is a great shame for Germany that it doesn't have any good museums of military equipment of II WW - there are a couple but not much there. Most of the stuff is in other countries like UK or US :(
In history I also have a great taste for Medieval Ages in Europe, particularly the crazy medieval "healthcare" and Knights Templar.
Besides I also play instruments, I like activity outdoors, reading scientific articles and spending time with cool people. I avoid big parties, especially I dislike clubs and crowded places. I enjoy very slow walks in old cities where there are still old monuments and there I can stop and imagine that I am back some 1500 years in the past and how it would look and feel like. The best time for sightseeing a city is 4 am on tuesday when everybody is sleeping ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to really various music, including ambient, psy-trance, all kinds of metal and classical, some rap. I would say that most important band for me is Marduk. Recently I have discovered a new thing called death step or metal step its like awesome and dark yeah.
Movies I could recommend: My Way, Stalingrad, The Hunted, Life of Bryan, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dr Strange.
Books: Liber Null and Psychonaut, Magick in Theory and Practice (A. Crowley), Rigvedas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Observing cosmos through a good telescope.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been practicing yoga for more than 12 years and this is something I can help you with - can explain the theory and necessary tools for development in yoga practice. Also, I always carry with me a set of essential oils with which I make mixtures for healing applications (mainly to help relax or fight skin problems). Btw. essential oils are proven to be more effective than the creams the doctors prescribe, there are proper science articles about that.
