About Me

To see as much of the Arctic as I can and do some cool things while I'm at it.

I'm friendly, enjoy to laugh wholeheartedly and am slightly shy. I live in the most beautiful community in Nunavut. It's gorgeous, seriously. I love hiking and camping and adventuring.

Life just comes along and surprises you in every way possible, sometimes there is no preparation for that. So it's better to go into things with an open mind and without judgment. I always hope that things will turn out for the best, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't but everything that happens in life shapes you some more and I have to believe that is a positive kind of growth.

I'm pretty much up for anything. Love spending time outside. Bought a kayak, so I'll putter around on that this summer. I love hiking and camping, eating good food, hanging out with good friends, etc etc. you know, all the good stuff. I'm also carrying a camera around with me everywhere these days, trying to be more mindful of the shots I take, and learn to be a better photographer. It's really great and I enjoy it a lot, its made me really notice the small things, and of course all the colours of light!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I went to Churchill I was lucky enough to check out the beluga whales and although seeing them was cool, my mind was blown when I HEARD them. The guide lowered a microphone into the water and the sound that came out of the speakers totally surprised me. If I had closed my eyes I would have sworn I was in a jungle, because the belugas menagerie of squeaks and squeals sounded like a cacophony of monkeys and birds. It was the most surprising and delighting thing I've ever heard.
