I'm Maike, 23 from Germany, I'm a passioned traveller and I love meeting people.
Currently I am studying International Fashion Retail and have a big interest in sustainable solutions for the fashion industry and how each of us can contribute to a better world that will still exist for our kid’s kids

I've already travelled quite a bit. I've been all over Europe and lived in Toronto,Canada , for 6 month as an au pair. I love the couch surfing community and really do believe that this is the way people should experience a new country and culture.
I've loved every second as a couchsurfer and wish that everyone in this world would be as wonderful and open as the people in this community ☺️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have just had nothing but great experiences when staying with locals , wether it was with couchsurfing , doing Exchange Programms or staying with my friends across the globe! You just always see a place for what it is when local friends show it to you. In addition I just really love meeting new people and sharing stories :)

Interests

I love music and good food. I'm always up for a spontaneous dance party or a chilled night out with friends. I really enjoy the company of others , no matter how different we might be. I like talking and learning new points of views from others. A great conversation is the biggest reward!!
I am always happy to see new places and learn new things about a country or a culture!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After graduating from High school in 2014, I went on to live in Canada for 6 month. Honestly the best time of my life!!

The greatest moments that always gave me chills and tears in my eyes were the ones where I sat at a table with people of all ages and more than 10 different nationalities just enjoying the moment and LEARNING about each other. This just ain’t something they teach you at school.

I will start my semester abroad in the US in the fall of 2019 and I just cannot wait 😍
