About Me
In the end all that’s left are memories. — let’s make some good ones!
Hi, I'm Maya. I was born in Poland, grew up in Germany, and lived in Norway and the USA since leaving home. I've lived in intentional communities with adults with special needs for 15 years before coming back to my home town in Germany. I studied pedagogy and special education. I love working with children and people with special needs. I enjoy conversations pondering the meaningful life and the state of our world. I'm known to silly dance in the kitchen and the car. I'm passionate about communal living, traditional craftsmanship, mindfulness, questioning the status quo. I look forward to meeting good people. I hope to laugh and play a lot with you
all.
Sebastian is a smart, gentle, and funny guy, who is just getting to know the magic of Couchsurfing. He’s a surveying engineer making sure those Airbuses carry you all safely through the sky. He enjoys dancing, hiking, snowboarding and good food. He will not pass on the opportunity to cook for his guests. He loves desert.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are in love with the whole concept of Couchsurfing. Maja: The basic idea of giving freely, trusting strangers, seeing places as much as possible from a local’s point of view. I especially love the experiences I’ve had while Couchsurfing. I can be content on my own and out of your way, though I do hope to get to spend a little time with those who host me as I ultimately care more about people than places.
Sebastian: It’s awesome to meet people of different walks of life.
