Hola! I'm Cristina and I'm from Barcelona. I'm a bit (quite) shy, but friendly and open minded :)
Nowadays I'm studying Arabic Philology at university and would like to become a translator and teacher someday. I love languages. I also love photography, cinema, books and drawing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to meet people from around the world to exchange culture and knowledge. I also love my city and like to show its beautiful sights and secrets :)
I like to read, being these days specially interested in science ficiton, I like to play music (or at least try to play), the things I can make sound more or less are the guitar, the ukulele and the piano. I'm interested in photography and I love going out with a camera as much as enjoying a good film, I also draw and learn different languages because it's fun and a way of opening one's mind and reach to foreign cultures.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books by Bukowski, Mikhail Bulgakov, Stanislaw Lem, Gogol, Orwell, Terry Pratchett...
I listen to a lot of different music genres, my favorite musicians are Amanda Palmer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
My favorite writers are Stanislaw Lem, Mikhail Bulgakov, Bukowksi, and I have a thing for Chuck Palahniuk's novels. The last book I've read is The Name of The Wind.
Some of the movies I like: Delicatessen, The City of Lost Children, Solaris, Into The Wild, Clerks, Old Boy, The Name of The Rose, Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind, Alien...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've listened the city mosques' adhan (call to prayer) from the top of a hill in Fes, Morocco.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Spanish and Catalan. Also photography stuff and random facts of Barcelona city and its history.
I'd like to learn new languages!
Also anyone who can teach me new songs to play on ukulele/guitar is welcome!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good cooking skills! Spanish and Catalan cuisine. Barcelona not so touristy tour.
