Hi, I am Malte Adden.

Currently, I am travelling around the world together with my wife Elisa. That means that we will spend around 11 months on the road.

Back at home I just finished my studies and I will start to work as a high school teacher when we return in 2017.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While travelling, it's most important to try to become part of the culture of each country. That's why I think that Couchsurfing will be a great opportunity for us to meet new friends from around the world. And also to see all the "real important ares", rather than only visit all tourist attractions.

Interests

I am really in to sports of all kinds. When I am not travelling, I play in an amateur soccer team. But I also love to try new kinds of sports and activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually I am a fan of rock music. Nevertheless, influenced by my wife, I also like hip hop. Together, we regularly attend the "Rock am Ring" festival in Germany.

I read tons of books. Most of them are simply fun reads such as various thrillers. On top of that I watch all kinds of tv shows, eg. Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am doing it right at this moment: We are travelling around the world without using airplanes as a way of transportation. That means we are only using trains, busses, cars, and cargo ships.

We love to sit together with people we meet - talk, laugh, eat & drink.
Depending on who we meet, there are always new subjects, thoughts and ideas to talk about. Sometimes it will be about sharing our experiences and then there will be times for us to listen and try to get more insights about others.
