About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have meaningful interactions with the people I meet, to catch as many sunrises as possible, to always be a little wacky, to transform my experiences into adventures, and to laugh as often as possible

ABOUT ME

My dad always told me that there were two rules in life: 1) Don't sweat the small stuff and 2) It's all small stuff... Not always true, but it's held pretty strong for most of my life. I think that by thrilling as much as possible in what life on this earth offers, and learning from all the miserable times, we can all be a little wiser and a little happier.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't had any through this project yet, but am looking forward to the possibilities! Other than that, I've spent plenty of nights on random folks couches--always an enriching experience.

Interests

Being outside as much as possible: camping, hiking, running, picking up fall leaves. Holding newborn babies. Cooking up a delicious meal with friends. Traveling to a new place without an itinerary.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies (but if given the choice, I'd rather be outside than watching a movie); besides scary films (gory goopy ones) I like most anything. I love music with a good beat that makes me want to jump up and dance--that's anything from hip-hop to bluegrass. Books, lately I've been immersed in medical books, so I don't have much to offer here, but some of my favorites have been classic books like the Bronte sisters, Winnie the Pooh, and Blue Like Jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Danced in the Masai Mara (game park in Kenya) as the sun was setting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Spanish and would love to have a conversation if you're so inclined. I am interested in learning more about rock climbing at the present--I've been a few times, but would really love to get some experience and wisdom under my belt.
