About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a journalist working for the Detroit Free Press, which is where I spend half my life (either that, or brainstorming ideas away from work). I'm very passionate about what I do and, by that, I mean working with websites and helping move journalism to the next phase, which is online and mobile. I'm also the type of person who thinks a lot for others and tries to make sure they're happy. I like having a profound effect on people (when I can).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
This is my first time using this site, just looking for a place to stay in San Francisco for a journalism conference from Sept. 20-23.
Interests
I'm a pretty relaxed person who enjoys sports, movies, music, running, traveling, beer, eating good food and, of course, writing. I spent a year and a half in Arizona for my first job out of college, and that was an amazing experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching a Diamondbacks prospect (Trevor Bauer) throw a baseball from foul pole to foul pole during Cactus League in Arizona was pretty incredible. As for me, I've been from Times Square in New York to Venice Beach in L.A. ... not "awestruck" experiences, but I can at least say I've been coast to coast!
