Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world and learn as much of as many languages as I can cram in between my ears.
ABOUT ME
Right now I'm exploring the world as a student without a lecture hall. Along the way, I'm learning as much about the people, and especially the languages, of the places I visit and generally trying to experience what the world has to share with those of us who are willing to find out.
PHILOSOPHY
Try new things; go new places; met new people and learn to speak their language. Spontaneity is my bread and butter: I would rather find out about and take advantage of new opportunities on the fly than stick to a rigid, pre-planned schedule that only lets one expand on what they know rather than finding out how much they really don't know.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm still wet behind the ears as far as couch-surfing is concerned, but I'm eager to rack up some experience and get to know some wonderful people.
Interests
I enjoy reading, cooking, learning languages, playing the banjo, hiking, camping, and traveling to new places. I have dabbled a bit in drawing, writing, and sailing, and dearly hope I end up doing more of all of these in the future.

Movies: Lucky Number Slevin and 500 Days of Summer
Music: The Maccabees and Puddle of Mudd
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently sailed the Caribbean coast of Panama in a rickety Chinese Junk and spent some time in Kuna Yala. Quite an experience.
