Although I've spent my formative years in and around Toronto as a bartender or business development manager, I was most recently launching an adult novelty candy company in California for the past two years that I only recently decided to sell.
With extra time on my hands, and a desire to see more of the world I sent out my CV to teach English in Vietnam, China, and Thailand. China, subsequently gave me the best offer and I am set to move to Hefei, China by May 3rd at the latest.
Although I'm excited for the big change I'm equally apprehensive about getting a little mixed up over there until I find my rhythm, and would love to make friends with some people who know the city upon my arrival to "hit the ground running" as they say...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd also love to meet someone who could show me the best places to eat in the city. I'm also not opposed to beer and have a perhaps unhealthy love of motorcycles and road trips, maybe you could indulge me?
I'm a big nerd and love to follow journalism, world events, and science news. I have a soft spot for video games although I can never seem to find the time to play them.
