Overview
About Me
I am travelling in South America the next five months. At the moment I am doing a volunteer project in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil. I will be visiting Buenos Aires from the 12th of November till the 22nd of November and after that one week in Rio de Janeiro. From the beginning of December I will live in Bogota.
I was born in Germany, where I grew up and lived till I was 19. I lived in a small village around 50km from Cologne. When I was a young child I always wondered if people would be different in other parts of the world. When I finished high school I travelled for a year through Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. When I came back I started studying and living in the Netherlands. Now that I finished studying I am working and travelling in South America.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet open minded people, share experiences and good times.
Interests
Currently I do a lot of longboarding, but I am always open minded to try new sports. This summer I want to go surfing again.
I enjoy clubbing, but also like to go to concerts especially when the atmosphere is exciting and energetic.
I love the sea and beach. I could spend the whole day there, catch some fish and grill it on the fire. I feel good being in and exploring nature.
I also like acting and arts. I did an acting course recently and enjoyed it a lot. Our project was on dreams and the performance consisted of a combination of scenes, mostly from Hollywood movies.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have seen a lot of movies, read way too few books, and do not spend a lot of time exploring new music and artists. When I find something that I like I see if there is more of it.
I really loved reading Watership Down when I was a child. I also like books from Markus Zusak, Simon Beckett, or Jonathan Safran Foer. Also loved reading the Alchemist.
I like french movies (because they are so real) and movies that inspire me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was herding sheep on a motorbike in an outback farm in Australia together with the two sheep dogs Faith and Coco. It was an awesome experience as I could learn so much from the dogs.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn! I have a bit teaching experience, teaching in the university. I think it was important to realise that I can learn something from every person in the world. The views people have of life are all different and there is so much beauty in finding out about other's views.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook a little bit.
I may be able to make a terrible joke or tell a story.
