CURRENT MISSION

Our adventure starts in Moscow, from where we will travel overland through Siberia & Mongolia on the Trans-Siberian Railway & Ferries - all the way to the northern tip of Japan. From there we will head south and then continue on to explore south east Asia!

ABOUT ME

I am very polite and friendly with a great drive to socialise and learn about other people's way of life. In 2013, my girlfriend Helen and I travelled around 20 countries in Europe by car and surfed with many locals along our way! We love exploring everything from cities to nature parks in the day and enjoy playing cards, games and listening to music with a few beers in the evening. We have a great passion for cooking and love to try traditional specialities. We are both very open minded, respectful to others and we easily make friends with people of all ages :)

PHILOSOPHY

Helen and I both share a real passion for travel and want to learn about anything and everything! Helen thinks with her stomach and I with my ears - she loves nothing more than trying the local specialities, while I am always on the lookout for new musical inspirations.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are friendly surfers who respect other peoples homes and are always excited to make new friends and memories.
Staying with hosts we are very happy to help out in which ever way possible-
cooking dinner, washing up and cleaning etc.
We look forward to hosting people once we return from our trip and finally have our own place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some of the best moments of my travels so far have been through couchsurfing - for example:
being taken to an amazing rooftop jazz club in Belgrade,
cooking traditional english pies and bulgarian bureks in Sofia,
learning new games and watching Ajax v PSV in the Netherlands,
traditional bulgarian dancing at an Oratnitza concert,
mini festivals in Ljublyana, Slovenia etc etc.

Interests

Music - Enjoy a wide variety of music from blues to hip-hop, rock & reggae but not chart music.
Films - All Tarantino, Star Wars, Classics, Films with a clever plot and that don't rely solely on SFX.
Love to read books, go exploring by foot, mountain walking, snowboarding, bike riding, swimming in lakes, occasional video game, also like to learn new languages- helpful words and phrases, socialise and play games with new friends!

I am able to share my passion and recommend the very best music, which suits peoples' likes. Together Helen and I are able to share our excellent ideas for cooking delicious meals and teach or improve upon people's German, English and French!
