About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling to learn about... the Baltic identity? The Lithuanian identity? The Russian identity? The identity of Riga? A European identity?

ABOUT ME

Let´s start with...
I consider myself as very cheerful and open-minded, active and sometimes perhaps a little bit too caring.

Facets of an "all about me" are best answered in the interest list below, but here some random facts:

You probably might get to know me as kind of nerdy when we talk about astronomy or archeology, both childhood plans for life that are no focal point anymore, but which I did nt lose track of.

And I have to admit that I am not good in making music... but I love to sing along!

Too-much-blackbiting people really drive me crazy.

I love the sound a glass of nutella makes when you first open it ;P (So, I consider myself as being able to worship the small things in life).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I hope this will change piece by piece.

Interests

I am enthusiastic for a lot of things, be it - first of all - water.
Then sports (doing, not so much talking about: yoga, rowing, cycling, speedminton),
modern art,
political issues or my studies in Economics, which - life is full of surprises - led me to a very theoretical approach of examining human behaviour. But who needs reality if we have a nice model, hm? ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, it´s about making something new out of existing. For example, the way Beirut or Den Sorte Skole do.

When it comes to books, it´s about the describing the world through the eyes of a child or teenager in a poetic way. Such as Pétur Gunnarson does it in "punkt punkt komma strich", as Judith Schalansky does it in "Blau steht dir nicht: Matrosenroman" or Jostein Gaarder does it in "The Orange Girl".

When it comes to movies, it´s... erm, I hardly watch ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can there be anything more amazing than sitting in the grass or at the seaside, with a beer, and having a good talk?
