A little about me...Well, I'm a 25 year old Sagittarius from the States.I grew up in Boise, Idaho with my 5 younger brothers and sisters but have lived in other places around the West Coast such as Seattle, southern California and San Francisco being my last place. I've been on a travel kick since last summer of 2015 while I was working at a cafe and attending fashion school. I realized it just wasn't what I wanted so I saved up some money and left! Since then I've been to 10 European countries, and many more cities. I've traveled with friends, and have been solo backpacking for the last 5 months! I've adventured around and met so many great people whilst finding out my complete and utter love for travel!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I've done the hostels, done Helpx and realized from friends through out my travels that this is a really great way to meet people, especially locals! And I'm always keen to meet new people and share new experiences :)

Interests

I've been getting more into my yoga, mediating, and finding myself happy outdoors or by any body of water. I've also recently begun busking which I've found to really enjoy because it gets me back into one of my biggest passions, singing. I paint, love to dance, really enjoy cooking and love exploring new culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I went to an art school for 2 years of highschool singing jazz, so that will always have a piece of my heart but am also really into alternative indie, electronic bits, little neo-soul, mostly a bit of everything, or things I would not consider to be a specific genre. Some favorites of mine right now would be...Alt-J, Banks, Ben Howard, FKA twigs, Halsey, Kygo, anything Latin or Reggaeton, Little Dragon, Jack Garratt, Oh Wonder, RUFUS, and Blackbear

Movies I could go on for days but I will put it at that I LOVE them and basically will watch anything Independent or that has any awards from festivals. I'm also a Rom Com fan of course..

I honestly haven't been able to do as much reading as I'd like but some recent books I've enjoyed have been The Shell Collector, Gentlewoman, Eat Pray Love and various short story collectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Leave everything behind that I knew, sold all my stuff and began traveling alone! That was the bravest thing I've done.

Something else maybe less intense was taking a bus to Costa Brava to kayak and go cliff jumping! (I have a picture in one of my photos)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always willing to do a language exchange since I am a native English speaker and would love more than anything to learn some more languages. I can also cook fairly well and potentially can partake in some DIY projects if they are artistic. I take great photographs as well and know a bit about Photoshop, Excel and Illustrator!
