Hi there! I am Mariam and I come from a very beutiful country in Caucasus region - Georgia. I was born and raised in Georgia. I am a sociable person, love getting to know new people and hear and share stories with them. Now I am a bachelor student of law faculty and currently I am doing my Erasmus exchange in Estonia (sadly, it's almost over). I would say doing exchanges is sort of my hobby. I have done an exchange year in the US highs school 4 years ago and it was a blast and a real mind opener experience!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is such a wonderful concept and a unique way to travel and discover new places. I love travelling and meeting new people, getting to know them, discovering new places, stories, traditions... learning about new cultures. And couchsurfing is the best way to do it. This makes travelling alone much more interesting, fun and exciting. And it helps making new friends and creating some wonderful memories.

Interests

I like to study - it's so nerdy but well, I like it (and nerdy is not bad anyway). I also love to volunteer. I could call it my passion. Doing community service or any other kind of volunteering - park clean ups, community projects, spending time with little children... it all makes me feel I am contributing back to my community so in the end it all makes me feel good (sort of selfish, I know).
I am interested in youth work and I often participate in/organize youth projects with my team that benefit me and other young people improve their skills, broaden their horizons, raise awareness about important issues, etc.

Oh, and also, I do enjoy dancing and writing a journal.

Music, Movies, and Books

"Pride and Prejudice"- one of my all time favourites.
"Blind Pilots" - discovered them couple years ago and love their music.
Hmm, I think "Forest Gump", or "Mrs. Doubtfire" oor "Le Jouet" with Pierre Richard, maybe, "Breakfast Club"... well, can't chose one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So, I think jumping in an almost frozen lake right after upto 100 °C sauna in lapland, Finland was a pretty amazimg thing for me!
